What do I have to do become a spotter?

To become a spotter, you first need to register. This is done by going to the registration page and filling in all the required details. You then receive an e-mail to confirm you login. After following the confirmation link in the e-mail you can start referring job openings.

Yes, after registration as spotter you can directly start referring people.

How many candidates can I refer per job opening?

You can only refer three people per job opening. So try to refer people that fit the description as described in the job opening as much as possible.

Where can I see whom I have referred?

On the tab my network, you can see which people you have referred. For each job opening you can see whom you have referred en at the same time you're able to see if this person has been contacted by the company and whether he has been hired or rejected.

What happens to the reward when several people have referred the same candidate that is hired?

When several people have referred the same candidate, the reward is split between them. So, when the bonus is € 750 and three people have referred the same candidate, the all receive € 250 on their account.

How can I see that someone that is referred by me is hired?

You can look this up at the tab my network. Find the job opening for which you've referred someone and take a look at the status of these people. When someone that you have referred is hired, this is shown behind the name of this person.

When can I claim my reward?

When a company hires a candidate this is shown behind the status of this person. Normally payment is processed automatically after payment by the company. If not, you can use the 'claim reward' function to notify us.

How much money do I receive?

How much you receive depends on a number of factors. First of all, we look at the number of people that have forwarded the job. If you have forwarded it to a friend, and he or she referred a candidate that was hired, you two split the bonus. If several people referred the same candidate, the reward is split between them.

I've referred someone that has been hired, but that doesn't show on the site?

It is possible that the company has forgotten to change the status of a candidate to hired and as a result this isn't shown in your network. Notify us by sending a complaint to rewards@spotajob.com.

How can I claim my reward?

When payment of the reward by the employer is received we will transfer the appropriate amount directly to your account. As will we need your banking details to complete the transfer we will first contact you. When the status of your candidate is changed to hired and you didn't get a reaction, please send us a mail using the option 'claim reward' to collect your reward.

What kind of consequences does the receival of the reward have for my taxes?

This is depending on the income tax system in the country in which you are supposed to pay taxes. For more details, please check the SpotAJob help section of the country your residing in.

How reliable are the job openings?

All companies that post jobs at SpotAJob are thoroughly screened before job postings appear on the site. Companies that place job openings that contain misleading, wrong or in other ways non-reliable job openings are directly blocked and removed from our system.

Can I contact employers directly?

No, it isn't possible to contact employers directly. When you apply or refer someone, it is up to the company to establish contact. If the company doesn't contact you, you can always send us a complaint.

Most likely you have chosen to upload a document in a wrong format. You can only upload MS Word, PDF, HTML, Flash, *.zip and *.txt documents.

What do I have to do as employer to post job?

To post jobs on SpotAJob, you first need to register as company. This can be done by going to the registration page and filling in all the required information. You then receive an e-mail to confirm your login. After confirmation you can directly place your first job.

Can I post jobs directly as a new user?

Yes, after confirming your registration you can directly post you first job. Before your job will appear on the site you will be first contacted to confirm your registration. After an internal check, your job will be shown on the website. After confirming your registration you will also be able to upload your logo and add company information to your profile.

I've posted a job, but it isn't on the site?

Before the job is posted on the site it is always checked by SpotAJob. When you have posted three jobs in which no errors were found, your status is changed and your jobs will be placed on the website automatically.

Were can I find reactions on my job postings?

In the tab 'my jobs' you can find all active and old jobs. By pressing the link 'Show' behind the number of applications you switch to a detail page in which you can find an overview of people that have applied and the referrals that lead to the application.

Where can I state that I've hired or rejected someone?

On the overview page at 'my jobs' you can change the status of the different applicants. You can change it by using the dropdown to state which actions have been taken. This is also the place where you can state that you've rejected or hired a candidate.

I can't find my old job?

At the page 'my jobs' you can find a check box 'show fulfilled/closed' jobs. By checking this box the old jobs appear on your screen.

What do the icons behind the applicants mean?

A highlighted icon behind the applicant shows the status of this candidate. The icons represent the following information: C: the candidate has been contacted (either by phone or e-mail) I: the candidate has been interviewed R: the candidate has been rejected A: the candidate has been hired

When do I have to pay the reward?

As said, at SpotAJob you only pay when you hire a candidate. After hiring, you have to change the status of the candidate to hired as quickly as possible. We will then contact you for the financial settlement.

You can revoke a job by changing the status of the job to revoked. This can be done at the job overview.

Wat gebeurt er als er geen geschikte kandidaten reageren?

Wanneer er na 60 dagen nog geen geschikte kandidaat voor de functie is gevonden zijn er twee opties. Je kunt de bonus verhogen met minimaal 25% waardoor de vacature nog 30 dagen online kan staan, of je kiest ervoor dat de vacature door SpotAJob wordt afgesloten.

You can only change the bonus once by editing the job. After publication, you cannot lower the reward, highering the amount is allowed.

No, when you're trying to hire three people for the same job, you have to place the job three times. This is necessary to keep track of the referral process and be able to pay the rewards to the right people when someone is hired.
