As a result of growth our client, a service sector business, is looking to recruit an HR Manager to lead the transactional HR team based around the South Bank region. The role is to provide professional guidance to all managers across the business to ensure a consistent and timely approach to all HR matters. Operate consistently within the Company policies in line with ACAS best practice and current employment legislation. Support the people management processes which underpin the business culture

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the transactional HR Team to deliver a comprehensive service to the business, sharing best practise and your own expertise to upskill where required
Provide managers with timely, comprehensive advice on all employee relation matters
Oversee effective case management of people related issues such as: disciplinaries, performance management, employment tribunals, grievance and absence management
Provide support when required with the TUPE transfer process, for both incoming and outgoing transfers
Manage complex employee relations casework including dispute resolutions
Develop effective relationships with the business to promote good employee relations across the organisation
Understand the commercial implications of actions taken by both the HR and Operational Teams and ensure
Interface with legal advisors and solicitors
Provide support on formal hearings
Track disciplinary actions, suspensions and tribunals
Understand and implement Company procedures, rules and requirements of employees, embracing the company's Code of Conduct
Provide support when required with the TUPE transfer process, for both incoming and outgoing transfers
Coach managers in best practice in order to promote a more pro-active approach to people management
Supporting changes in the role, necessary to take the department and business forward
Manage redundancy, change programs and other relevant HR projects
Apply HR and business knowledge evidencing appropriate decision making skills.
Develop HR policy and procedures to drive performance and mitigate disputes, regularly monitoring them to make them fit for purpose
Drive alignment between HR strategy and business goals.
Measure employee satisfaction and identifying areas that require improvement
Skills and competencies required:

Ability to work well in a highly pressurised environment having worked in a previously challenging and similar environment
Strong TUPE knowledge and experience
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to be pro-active and work on own initiative
Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels including experience of dealing with senior and sometimes challenging individuals
Demonstrable commercial approach to HR
Competent IT skills
Good working knowledge of employment law
Extensive knowledge of ER case management procedures and processes such as employment tribunals, disability, diversity and equal opportunities
The ability to demonstrate absolute confidentiality in all areas of work
Compassionate and empathetic
Ability to maintain a positive approach to work and the Company
Motivate and lead the team to new levels of development and achievements by regular coaching and one-to-ones with the Operations Teams.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
