DescriptionAre you an experienced Quantity Surveyor Estimator looking for a new role? Are you looking to work for a General Building Contractor who undertake a range of projects across the West Midlands?
Due to expansion, Kingscroft have been asked to recruit for an experienced Quantity Surveyor/Estimator on behalf of a Building Contractor based in the Walsall area. The ideal candidate will have at least five years’ experience working in a similar role, with a good overall knowledge of the construction and building industry. The ideal Quantity Surveyor/Estimator will have experience working on range of projects from New Build Residential work, to Commercial Extensions and Fit-outs. Working closely with the Director, this varied role will play a key part to the development of the business. For the right QS/Estimator, a competitive salary ranging from £35k-£45k will be offered.
Main duties of the Quantity Surveyor/Estimator:
• Visiting both new and existing clients to survey potential works.
• Preparation of Material suppliers and budgets.
• Costing/Quoting and Tendering for works.
• In depth assessments of tender requirements.
The ideal Quantity Surveyor/Estimator will have:
• A minimum of 5 years in a similar role.
• Good all round building knowledge and understanding.
• Excellent communication skills.
• IT competent (Microsoft Excel, Word etc.).
• Ability to produce comprehensive quotes.
• Relevant qualifications (Quantity Surveying Degree) – Advantageous.
For the right candidate, a competitive salary of £35k-£45k will be offered as well as a company phone, laptop and a generous holiday allowance. The majority of works my client undertake are based in and around the West Midlands, so some local travel will be necessary.
