Job Title: Production Test Engineer
Overview of department: Manufacturing department

Responsibilities: 
Production test and diagnostics of complex weapons at system and Subsystem level. 
• Testing of complex electronic & electrical equipment, and diagnosis of production test failures down to component level. Identification of corrective action, in a timely manner allowing Manufacturing to continue production in line with programme. 
• Assessment of Test Equipment issues, directing support services to resolve equipment failures. • Evaluation of technical problems in order to develop proposals for investigations and corrective actions, including process improvements.
• Test Engineering representative at Defect Review Board meetings to ensure efficient progress of equipment and quality notifications towards corrective action. Role requirements (skills, training and qualifications) 
• HNC/HND (Electronics) Level of Qualifications or equivalent, plus good level of experience in digital & analogue electronics manufacture and test. 
• A good understanding of measurement and test principles, and associated equipment. 
• An understanding of RF and microwave technology at subsystem level would be an advantage. 
• An understanding of Environmental testing (including ESS) would also be an advantage.

Overview of department:
The Electro-Optical (EO) Seekers & Sensors Department is responsible for supporting MBDA’s complex weapon programmes through the provision of specialist Electro-Optical support. Depending on the programme this will vary from specification and assessment through to delivery and support. We also lead and conduct industry-leading innovative R&D activities to support future emerging programmes.
The successful applicant will join one of our project teams developing ground-breaking EO Seekers & Sensors for our complex weapons. Responsibilities:
Supporting the assigned project lead in Systems Engineering activities, including but not limited to:

The opportunity:

MBDA has a fantastic opportunity for a Cable / Harness Design Engineer to work within our growing Interconnects team designing bespoke electrical interconnects/cables suitable for the transmission of power, signal and data within and between subsystems in our products.
To do this you will need to interpret sub-system requirements and, from these, generate electrical schematics and cable design definitions utilising Zuken E3. 
The role also demands the candidate provide assistance, guidance, and issue resolution for E3 users and the ability to utilise & integrate Zuken E3 throughout the product development lifecycle.
What we’re looking for from you: 

Individuals will need to have demonstrable experience in cable/harness design, including:
•	A minimum 2-5 years’ experience in the use of E3.Cable and related products (E3.Formboard/ E3.3D Transformer beneficial).
•	A proven ability to define, deploy, and refine processes and best practices within E3. – including; electrical topology, wiring schematics and 2D manufacturing drawing processes and standards. 
•	Proven ability to develop and deliver technical instruction to E3 users.
•	Thorough understanding of product data management and change management within Windchill or similar.

2. Job Goals / Mission:

Overview of department:
Embedded Software Engineering Department based in Stevenage develops embedded software for a range of products and projects within company. The Datalink Software Team is part of this department
Real Time Datalink Software is tasked with supplying Datalink software into a wide range of Missiles and platforms that require a method of communicating over the air between them. This is a relatively new function within the companies  scope to help define what the Datalink does, its protocols and technical design.
