Your new role as Assistant Accountant:

Working in a finance team of 3, you will report to and work closely with their ACCA qualified Finance Manager. As Assistant Accountant you will focus on supporting with the preparation of the management accounts pack including the balance sheet, profit and loss and all associated commentary and analysis. You will be responsible for balance sheet reconciliations; posting prepayments and accruals; preparation and review of quarterly VAT returns; and supporting the Accounts Assistant with sales and purchase ledger duties as required.

There will be a strong commercial element to the role in supporting with business plans and you will gain exposure to various upcoming projects including system developments and process improvements. You will also be required to build and maintain strong relationships with key partners across the business, providing insightful financial analysis as required.

Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:

To be considered for this opportunity, you will already have good exposure to the month end accounting process and management accounts, and be keen to build on this experience further. You will be a strong Excel user (pivot tables and VLookups) and experience of Sage 50 is desirable. Strong communication skills are essential as you will be required to work cross-functionally throughout the business being a key representative of the finance team.
