Description
We have been instructed on a unique Outsourcing Director opportunity on behalf of our client, a highly reputable and flexible firm in St Albans, Hertfordshire.
This opportunity would suit an ambitious ACA, ACCA or CIMA Qualified Outsourcing Senior Manager or Associate Director looking for their next step up and/or have aspiratations to become an equity Partner.
The successful individual will be a key member of the leadership team, supporting the Partners in the provision of Outsourcing services to an impressive client base.
You will be responsible for the operational delivery of all Outsourcing reporting and compliance services and assist with the growth of the department, meeting prospective clients. In addition you will be the technology champion for the team, keeping up to date with the latest software and developments and lead on software implementation.

Responsibilities:
Oversee/ manage the Outsourcing Department of the firm
Managing an extensive portfolio of Outsourcing clients.
Ensure high quality and insightful monthly bookkeeping and management accounts are produced for clients.
Ensure VAT returns are prepared and reviewed in in line with firm procedures.
Work with the VAT team where necessary on any complex returns
Line management for wider team (approx. 20 - 30 team members)
Streamlining business processes of the department.
Ensure a quality and efficient payroll service is provided to clients.
Ensure reporting and analysis adds value to clients.
Lead the implementation of new accountancy software as necessary.
Help train the wider team ensuring technical and systems knowledge is kept up to date.
Business development - support partners to win new work.
Develop strong relationships with clients including client visits and review meetings.
Requirements:
ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA Qualified (+ 5 Years PQE ideally)
Experience of managing a client portfolio
Strong outsourcing background in practice
Excellent working knowledge of accountancy software (Quickbooks, Xero)
Management experience
