Description
Axcis are working with an Ofsted rated ‘good’ community primary school in North Liverpool (L4) who are looking for teaching assistants to join their team working with children who require additional support to reach their full potential in the classroom.
This mainstream primary school has a large proportion of pupils with special educational needs and employs a diverse and highly experienced staff who are dedicated to ensuring the progress and safeguarding of all pupils who attend the school. Needs of pupils in school vary and include ADHD, autism, dyslexia, and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).
The role of teaching assistant at this school will mainly be working 1:1 with pupils with SEND. This will include recognising and responding to their needs to help children thrive in the classroom, with some basic academic and social support. The roles available are full time, and likely to be long term for the right candidate (Monday-Friday, 8:30am-3:30pm). Pay starts at £80 per day. Some previous experience working with children with SEND is beneficial to this role, however classroom-based experience is not necessary.
