This isn't just another AV Installation Engineering vacancy within the residential and retail sector....our client is looking for someone who has the experience but would like to have scope to progress within a secure well established business. We are looking for someone who is experienced as an AV Installation Engineer and Programmer who is potentially looking to move up and have a greater role in the organisation and project management side of things.
The role will still comprise of Engineering and Programming work, however, will start around 50 / 50 and can develop into more of an office-based role for someone who is looking to move in that direction.

Ideal Candidate Skills:
Office Skills:
• Good ability to interpret client's needs and ability to build quotes that meet these needs within the scope of the products we normally work with
• Ability to produce appropriate cable plans and schedules in preparation for the first fix on-site to the company standard
• Comfortable talking with clients and holding meetings with clients and other stakeholders (such as building contractors)
• Proficiency in reading and replying to emails in a timely manner in relation to projects and ensuring stakeholders have the appropriate information
• Proficient in Building Networks from Router, to Switch to Access Point setup, including MAC-based IP reservation and Static IP assignment
Engineering Skills:
• Able to comfortably converse with on-site contractors and work with/around them on site
• 2nd Fix proficiency, rack building, cable termination and testing
• Comfortable installing a range of products from fitting a TV on a wall to fitting
and setting up a wireless access point or CCTV camera
• Ability to work with clients to finalise minor items such as TV height during the
install
• Ability to provide a detailed handover to clients, with the ability to go "at their
speed" which changes from client to client
• Ability to quickly learn how to use and integrate with new products in an industry that is always changing
• Great fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Required Knowledge:
• High Level of Knowledge/Skill in Control 4 Products and Programming
• Knowledge of how to build robust networks
• Basic Knowledge of Lighting Systems
• Beneficial Experience / Knowledge:
• Experience Setting Up Luma or other IP-based CCTV Systems
• Lighting System Programming, Rako, Lutron RA-2, Control 4
• Knowledge of Managed Networks and STP Settings
• Experience integrating a multitude of different products into Control 4, from
Heating to Air Con, Lighting such as Rako or Lutron or other products

UK Driving Licence Required. Right to work in UK required.
