Description
Axcis are looking to recruit a teaching assistant to work in a Pupil Referall Unit in west Bristol (BS11), you will be part of the schools behaviour support team supporting a vast array of pupils with challenging behaviour. The role is full time starting in February 2023.
The school are looking for a calm and resilent candidate who can offer the pupil enough consisdency to allow them to reintegrate back into the classroom. The pupils will have SEMH and will be prone to outbursts meaning that you may not always be classroom based. Prior experience of working with children with challenging behaviour would be advantageous.
The school is a high achieving school with a supportive senior leadership team who put the welfare of its pupils as a top priority. Currently the role is an ongoing position but there is potential for this to extend into the new academic year pending funding. It has fantastic transport links for both car drivers and users of public transport.
