Teaching Assistant TA SEMH Primary Start ASAP, full-time

Are you a caring, empathetic person who wants to work with primary-aged students with SEMH needs, supporting those with challenging behaviours to re-engage with education?
If you answered yes to the above, this may be the SEMH Teaching assistant role for you!
A small, specialist primary school for pupils with SEMH needs are looking for a teaching assistant (TA) to join them full-time and long-term.
The staff at the school work together to build an ethos of emotional awareness and understanding as well as their academic progression in order to promote relevant and sustained development of the ‘whole child’.
For this role, we are looking for a fun and energetic SEMH Teaching assistant to work with primary-aged pupils with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs (SEMH). These students are vulnerable, and have faced challenges accessing mainstream schooling.
They are looking for someone:
-fun, motivating and creative
-patient and resilient
-with good behaviour management
-with experience working with individuals with SEMH needs and challenging behaviour
-has an Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willing to get one
Hours are from 8.30 to 3.30 with pay rates starting at £11.53 per hour.
