Description
We have an exciting opportunity now available near Kings Heath working as a teaching assistant in a large, secondary-aged SEND setting. The students within our partnering school have previously had difficulty in thriving in mainstream and have a wide range of SEND, including challenging behaviour, anxiety, SEMH and learning difficulties. You will be tasked with supporting the students through both their educational studies and helping to instil them with life skills.
You must have previous experience working with children or young people with SEND and be comfortable in challenging situations. You will need to be resilient, enthusiastic, and passionate about working with children or young people with SEND.
You will need to work Monday to Friday working during term time. Axcis pay competitive pay. A fully enhanced DBS will be needed to start work. If you do not currently have a DBS on the update service, you will need to be able to get one (please note, a DBS costs £44.33, and it is £13 to put it on the update service).
