Description
An ‘Outstanding’ primary school based in Haringey, N17, require a SEND teaching assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Lower Key Stage 2 pupil with ADHD and some associated behavioural needs.
The ideal teaching assistant will be committed, enthusiastic and have demonstrable SEND experience, particularly with ADHD. You will be energetic and have a sporty background as working outdoors is a requirement for this role. The successful candidate will be providing both academic and pastoral support for the pupil. As such, you will need to be resilient, calm, and able to demonstrate an ability to deal with challenging and sometimes confrontational situations. The pupil is in need of someone who is adept at building strong relationships, and is able to be a positive role model and mentor. Teaching assistants with Team Teach training or other de escalation training are highly desirable.
This is a full-time role to start ASAP and continue on into the next academic year.
