SEND Lecturer – Bromley
A specialist Further Education College in Bromley is seeking passionate and dedicated SEND Lecturers to join their team from September.
The college supports young adults aged 19–25 with a range of complex learning needs, including Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down's Syndrome, sensory impairments, complex medical needs, and non-verbal communication needs.

The Role
As a SEND Lecturer, you will deliver engaging, practical, and personalised learning sessions tailored to the individual needs of learners. Teaching will focus on:
Independent living skills
Life skills and personal development
Cookery and practical learning activities
Communication and social development
Preparation for adulthood and progression pathways
You will work closely with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where every learner can thrive.
About You
We are keen to hear from candidates who have:
Experience teaching or covering lessons within education settings
Experience supporting learners with PMLD, ASD, Down's Syndrome, sensory needs, non-verbal communication needs, or complex medical needs
Confidence delivering life skills, independent living skills, or practical-based learning activities such as cookery
A passion for supporting learners with additional needs to achieve their full potential
Essential Qualifications
Applicants must hold one of the following:
PGCE
DET (Diploma in Education and Training)
Level 6 qualification in Education, SEND, or a related field
Master's degree in Education, SEND, or a related subject
