Axcis are currently recruiting for a Learning Support Assistant at an SEND school based in Knowsley.
Our client is a fantastic SEND school providing individual education plans for students aged 6 - 16 years of age with learning difficulties and or disabilities. They offer a personalised curriculum for each student with a statement of educational and complex needs.
We are looking for people that have extensive experience working with students with learning difficulties, disabilities and complex needs (PMLD).
Experience of supporting learners aged 6 - 16 years engaged in full time education, study programmes, primary or secondary education or social care settings are desirable. You will be responsible for supporting pupils to engage in their learning.
We are looking for driven and motivated individuals to support learners to learn independently, and with a passion for supporting young people to achieve their full potential.
Successful candidates will be required to work one to one and/or as group support for learners with special needs including ASD, PMLD, sensory issues and speech and language difficulties.
Experience of feeding, administration of medication, changing and personal care would be desirable.
Axcis provide CPD training for all candidates and very competitive rates of pay.
