Description
Here at Axcis we are looking for a confident teaching assistant to work at a lovely primary school in Cirencester. This role is 1-1, working with a very young boy with suspected ASD. The child does not currently have a diagnosis or EHCP. They do not have any challenging behaviour, but will require support with social interactions -particularly sharing.
They follow flexible timetables, and you will need to be able to adapt these to their daily needs, and be confident in taking them out of the classroom as appropriate.
The school are looking for someone who can do the following:
-be patient, calm and adaptable
-be proactive
-enjoy role-playing and be good at animal noises!
-love sensory play (they love the water!)
-support the children to explore a range of play activities (as they often repeat their favourites)
-be consistent and committed to the role and the children
This role is all day - 8.30 - 3.30. Pay is from £12.19 per hour, Monday to Friday. You will need a DBS on the Update Service.
