Job description

Solution Architect, Stakeholder Management, Insurance Sector experience, System design, Systems integration or software development as a developer / architect, Agile, Insurance sector experience or financial services at least. A top insurance firm are looking for a Solutions Architect based in either London or Manchester on a hybrid basis, ideally with insurance sector experience. As a Solution Architect, you’ll have the ability to make a significant impact to the organisation by supporting the growth strategy and competitive positioning of the assigned business unit. You'll lead and support the architecting and designing of comprehensive solutions ensuring consistency with specified requirements agreed with customers. You will enable and guide the design and development of integrated solutions in projects. Skills: Strong project delivery background. Ideal 5 years of experience in system design, systems integration or software development as a developer / architect Strong knowledge of the processes of the entire software development and product life cycle: DevOps principles, patterns, UML, agile development practices Experience in web-based systems architecture, service-based architecture, enterprise application architecture, cloud architecture as well as experience managing expectations when balancing alternatives against business and financial constraints. Common frameworks such as e.g., REST, struts, spring, hibernate, etc. and familiar Database technologies (MS SQL, JDBC, PL/SQL, stored procedures) Proficiency in data modelling and design, including SQL development Knowledge of on-premise and cloud based solutions Solution Architect, Stakeholder Management, Insurance Sector experience, System design, Systems integration or software development as a developer / architect, Agile, Insurance sector experience or financial services at least.
