1:1 Special needs teaching assistant
We are looking for an experienced special needs professional to support a year 1 girl who has complex needs and is in need of 1:1 support within the primary schools special needs hub. This is a full time post that is starting as soon as possible. The student has had a couple of people to support her before but for one reason or another have not been consistent and shown the commitment that this young lady needs. So the school are really wanting to get someone that can commit at least till July. Hours are 8:30 - 3:30 Monday to Friday and term time only.
We are looking for someone who has experience in supporting special needs with children but this does not need to be within a school environment, although this would be desirable. The school is based in the Totterdown area of Bristol and has great transport links within the city, so is a great post for someone who perhaps does not have access to a car. The school is a smaller primary school with a lovely reputation among the local community.
In order to be considered, we are looking for an enhanced DBS on the update service, but should you need to apply for one, this can be considered as well.
