1:1 Special needs teaching assistant; January start
Axcis Education are looking for a teaching assistant to work with a year 1 girl full time from January 2023. This is a long term commitment. The student has been diagnosed with high functioning autism and spends most of her time in the special needs hub within the school. Her behaviour is not said to be extremely difficult but she is runner and quick on her feet.
We are looking for someone who is great with younger children, able to keep children with special needs engaged with their learning and still challenge them with their education as much as possible. We are looking for a person, with a element of fun to them and can work well on their own as well as part of the wider school team.
Hours are 8:30-3:30 Monday to Friday and term time only. The school is based within the Totterdown area of Bristol, so is very close to the centre of Bristol. An enhanced DBS on the update service is required but will still accept those who would need to apply for one.
