Axcis Education are working in partnership with a primary school in central Exeter who are keen to recruit a 1-1 Teaching Assistant that is committed to supporting and nurturing a Year 3 pupil with ASD and challenging behaviour.

This part time, long-term role will be full time from 8.45am to 3.15pm. You role will be to help with integrating the pupil into a lesson based environment. This is a safe and encouraging environment where the pupils are nurtured and supported to reach their full potential though a range of highly engaging lessons and activities.

The role involves working on a 1-1 to support the pupils learning and managing behaviour. This role is from Monday to Friday starting on 4th January 2023 until the end of the academic year. Free parking is available. Pay is £80 to £85 per day

The successful 1-1 Learning Support Assistant should:
" Be resilient and able to remain calm in challenging situations
" Have a caring and compassion approach
" Have an in-depth knowledge of safeguarding guidelines
" Understand the delicate nature of working with pupils with behavioural difficulties.
" Have the drive to consistently engage pupils with creative activities
" Be able to provide evidence of successful experiences from working with reception or early year pupils with additional learning needs
