About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Telehandler Driver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting site operations by safely transporting materials, assisting trades, and ensuring the efficient movement of equipment around the site.


Key Responsibilities


Operate a telehandler safely and efficiently in accordance with site rules and manufacturer guidelines.
Load, unload, lift, and distribute construction materials to designated areas across the site.
Support bricklayers, groundworkers, carpenters, and other trades by ensuring materials are available when needed.
Carry out daily pre-start checks and routine inspections of the telehandler.
Report defects, maintenance issues, or safety concerns immediately.
Follow lift plans and instructions from site management where applicable.
Maintain clear communication with banksmen, supervisors, and site personnel.
Keep work areas safe, tidy, and free from unnecessary hazards.
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including site-specific procedures.
Assist with general site duties when telehandler work is not required.
Requirements
Valid CPCS or NPORS Telehandler Operator Card.
Previous experience operating telehandlers on construction sites.
Good understanding of construction site operations and material handling.
Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
Full UK driving licence preferred.
Desirable Skills
Experience working on residential or commercial construction projects.
Knowledge of telehandler attachments and lifting operations.
Additional plant tickets or site qualifications.
First Aid, Manual Handling, or Site Safety certifications.
