About the role:
Supporting the set-up and management of the governance for successful delivery of transformation programmes
Presenting to your sponsors, typically Managing Directors. You will manage and work across multiple teams in Business Transformation and other business units.
Working alongside the business to develop recommendations that improve customer experience and financial benefit.
Developing the tools and methods, bringing both internal and external insight to improve the capability of the Business Transformation Delivery team.
Providing direction to all personnel working on the project to enable the team to understand their role in delivering the group’s strategic objectives
Taking personal responsibility for key stakeholders at a senior level on behalf of the projects; working closely with the sponsors / business units to manage the relationships; liaising with and, where appropriate, co-ordinating the activities of the matrixed teams to mobilise the programme.
Transformation project management and ability to drive change across a complex organisation: -
Ability to lead in an ‘agile’ way (flexible resourcing, cross-functional teams, pace)
Subject matter expertise to challenge as-is and design innovative solutions
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, able to work up to MD level.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to define requirements both effectively and in a timely manner
Can contribute to the development of high performing teams
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of financial principles
Ability to develop and track business cases
Understanding of, and ability to apply, the core principles of behavioural change management as part of the delivery process.
Experience of turning transformation proposals into practical project designs.
Track record of excellent project management in complex and fast-paced environments.
Evidence of delivery of quantifiable benefits from a complex transformation initiative.
Demonstrable subject matter expertise
Demonstrable ability to influence senior stakeholders across the business.
Demonstrable business acumen and commercial experience / judgement.
Relevant transformation qualifications related to analysis and transformation (e.g.PMP, Lean Six Sigma)
Experience of managing and delivering in an agile environment.
