Description
Axcis Education are working closely with a Blackburn based pupil referral unit who are looking to appoint a teaching assistant, ideally from a youth work or similar background.
The school we are working with have an Ofsted grade of "good" and whilst behaviour is challenging in school, there is a large on site staff team who have a lot of training in behaviour management to keep students engaged in their lessons. The school are hoping to appoint a teaching assistant, with experience working with children who have SEMH difficulties and challenging behaviours, for a full time role, starting as soon as possible.
The role, will be full time and school hours are 830am - 330pm Monday - Friday. The role will start as soon as possible, on a long term basis, with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate. The role will require you to work on a 1:1 and small group basis with students who can be challenging in their behaviours.
The candidate, will have experience working with children, ideally children who have additional needs and / or challenging behaviours. The candidate must be available full time seeking a role, in a forward thinking provision. The candidate should be hard working, confident and compassionate. Pay for this role starts at £12.50 per hour and the role will start as soon as possible.
