Youth Workers for PRU school
We are recruiting for a full-time Teaching Assistant TA for a role in a lovely, small PRU setting in Salisbury. The role is to start ASAP and is long-term, with the school hoping to find someone for a permanent position.
The school is a welcoming environment that prioritises active and outdoor learning wherever possible. You must be proactive and adaptable, as the role is to work across the school, as a 1-1 or general classroom teaching assistant TA when needed. There are only 12 students in the school, so you will get to know all of the students well!
The ideal candidate:
-will have experience working with teenagers, either in a school or another setting
-will be able to communicate with a range of different teachers
-be able to support the students with the academic work
-be patient and empathetic
-able to work with students with challenging behaviours
Hours for this role are 8.45 to 3.13, with pay rates starting at £11.30 per hour. Please note that for this role you will need to have an Enhanced DBS on the update service, or be able to get one.
