Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Vehicle Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be adept at maintaining and repairing various types of vehicles. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools. A commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality is essential.

Duties

Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify issues and determine necessary repairs.
Perform maintenance tasks, including oil changes, brake repairs, and tyre rotations.
Utilise hand tools and power tools effectively for vehicle assembly and disassembly.
Execute equipment repair tasks while adhering to safety protocols.
Weld components as required for vehicle repairs.
Assist in heavy lifting during the repair process, ensuring proper techniques are used.
Communicate with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair options, and timelines.
Maintain an organised work area, ensuring tools and equipment are stored correctly.
Qualifications

Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in vehicle maintenance and repair.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals accurately.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Capability to perform heavy lifting as part of the job requirements.

What we’re looking for:
Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic (dealership or independent garage background)

NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair

MOT licence is a bonus but not essential

A proactive approach with a keen eye for detail and quality

Full UK driving licence
