We are currently working with a privately owned top civil engineering contractor, based in Worcestershire that turn over £60m, who are looking for an Managing Quantity Surveyor in Worcester. This role will be based in both site and office locations

The company specialise in delivering civil engineering projects and frameworks including infrastructure, highways, public realm etc for a range of private clients and local authorities.

They are currently recruiting a Managing Quantity Surveyor to be based in Worcestershire to work on works within this region with the remit of aiding the growth of the region as well as working on live projects, undertaking works that range in value from £5m – £20m and then carrying out the role of a Senior Quantity Surveyor once the project is live.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business who are expanding into new geographies and successfully tender for new projects and frameworks with a full order book 2025. A strong general civil engineering background will be essential for this position, due to a wide variety of civil engineering elements on the scheme which include; earthworks, highways, deep drainage, s278’s, footways and culverts.

Managing Quantity Surveyor

Project Management provider that specifically operate within the food & beverage, pharmaceutical, automotive sectors are looking for a Construction Supervisor for an 18 month project to oversee the delivery on a CDM project management basis. Project is a new build unit on the site of an existing facility
As the project lead you will be responsible for overseeing the project ensuring that the scheme is delivered on time, budget, client standard. Your main duties will be to manage and supervise all onsite construction activities, ensuring compliance with H&S and quality standards, facilitating communication amongst all stakeholders, contractors/subcontractors and client.
Main duties will be to oversee all onsite daily construction activities ensuring adherence to project schedules and timelines, subcontract coordination, site inspections to monitor progress, Quality Assurance, Safety Management, Documentation and Reporting. You will also be acting as the primary point of contact for all on-site stakeholders, including clients, architects, and engineers, facilitating communication between all parties to resolve issues and ensure project objectives are met, attending project meetings and provide updates on site progress and challenges, weekly progress reports detailing work completed, resources utilized, and any issues encountered, safety meeting minutes and incident reports as needed, documentation of any changes to the project scope, including change orders and approvals as well as final report upon project completion summarizing achievements, challenges, and recommendations for future projects. 

Minimum requirements will be someone that has a degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering as well as holding current CSCS Card, SMSTS and First Aid certificates as well as experience working on logistics, food & beverage or pharmaceutical schemes as the project lead.
Working hours will be 7.30am-5.00pm Monday-Friday but additional working hours/days may be required in order for project deadline to be achieved.

Role Purpose:
Our client is looking for candidates with experience in managing all commercial aspects of the scheme and reporting directly into the Commercial Manager. 
 
Duties:
•	Measure, record & value work unsupervised in accordance with appropriate rules and procedures.
•	Measure & interpret specifications & drawings.
•	Translate measurement from drawings and Specifications and prepare Bills of Quantities and Schedules of rates if required.
•	Review weekly, monthly, section programmes of works.
•	Plan commercial activities to meet monthly timescales.

•	Preparation of Cost reconciliation statements.
•	Submission and Agreement of Adjustment Events with Client.

Your new role as the Accounts Receivable Clerk:

My client is a regional earthworks contractor with an excellent reputation. They specialise in bulk earthworks, soil stabilisation, demolition and ground remediation. They are currently going through a sustained period of growth with them on track for their busiest year to date. Their projects are located throughout the East Midlands and East Anglia.

They turnover circa £60m a year, with a busy orderbook for the next 24 months. Typical projects range in value from £20,000 to £30,000,000. 

They currently have an opportunity to work across all schemes in their current portfolio, overseeing 6 QS’s. This is management role with a heavy emphasis on financial reporting and contract management, a good working knowledge of NEC & JCT forms of contract is desirable. 

Criteria:
•	NEC & JCT Contract Experience 
•	Main Contractor Background (Will consider civil engineering, commercial build and earthworks contracting experience)
