As Audit and Accounts Manager, you will play a central role in overseeing audit and accounts assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring quality and technical standards are consistently upheld. You will work closely with both partners and junior staff, providing mentorship and guidance while managing client relationships with professionalism and confidence.

Responsibilities

Managing a portfolio of audit and accounts clients, ensuring assignments are delivered to a high standard and on time
Planning, executing and reviewing audit engagements across a range of sectors and business sizes
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
Supervising and mentoring junior and semi-senior members of the team
Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact
Liaising with partners on complex technical matters and contributing to business development initiatives
Ensuring compliance with current accounting and auditing standards

Requirements

ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
Proven experience managing audit and accounts assignments, ideally at manager or assistant manager level
Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP, FRS 102, and auditing standards
Excellent communication and people management skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively under pressure
A proactive, client-focused approach with a commitment to delivering quality
