Working 5 days out of 7, some weekend work.
Permanent – Full Time position
We are looking for qualified and time served HGV Technicians who can demonstrate a thorough understanding of commercial vehicle repair and maintenance for a workshop in the Gateshead area.
The role of this HGV Mechanic, HGV Fitter or HGV Technician:
You will be working on a variety of makes and models, tractor units and trailers, although the main aspect will be on the tractor units.
The type of work you can expect to be carrying out includes (but is not limited to)
• You will be carrying out inspections to a varied and diverse fleet,
• service, repair and maintenance,
• MOT preparation
• Scheduled servicing to DVSA standards
• 6 (or 8) weekly inspections
Requirements for this HGV Technician role:
• Ideally you will be fully qualified (City & Guilds), NVQ or equivalent.
• Additional accreditations such as IRTEC as would be desirable, as would an HGV Class 1 or Class 2 licence.
