Payroll Administrator
Location: Gateshead
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Hours: 37,5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

We’re looking for a Payroll Administrator to join our client in Gateshead, one of the UK’s largest car dealership groups. With over 50 branches across the country, they have served customers for many years and are an official franchised dealer for several of the UK’s most popular car and commercial vehicle brands.
Role Overview - Payroll Administrator
• Provide general accounts administration, including handling correspondence, filing, and updating records.
• Support balance sheet controls to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Assist in the preparation and processing of payroll runs.
• Maintain and update employee records, including timesheets, holidays, and absence data.
• Respond to payroll-related queries from employees and external contacts in a professional manner.
Requirements - Payroll Administrator
• Previous experience in payroll or a similar finance/admin role is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
