Slough

£17 P/H Umbrella

We are currently looking for a Safeguarding and Appointeeship Officer for a role in Slough. The Safeguarding and Appointeeship Officer will work within Slough and will be office based two days a week.

Principle Responsibilities:

Provide a confidential support service to the day to day running of the DoLS team
Provide an effective link with members of the public in particular families and representatives of people using care services.
Maintain accurate computerised databases with the information systems relating to requests for Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards authorisations. The process of assessments, outcome information and communication of outcomes to all relevant parties.
Maintain information technology and office systems to ensure effective services including Microsoft office, SharePoint etc.
Support the arrangement of internal, inter-agency and inter-departmental meetings, minuting where required whilst maintaining a high degree of confidentiality for all information handled.
Deal with all correspondence and telephonic enquiries relating to the DoLS including prioritising and taking necessary administrative action according to defined procedures in order to facilitate an effective and prompt response. This includes manage word processing systems, drafting letters, proof reading assessments, preparing documents and correspondence as and when required to a high and accurate standard, checking accuracy and prioritising workload.
Administrating allocations and returned Legal documents from Best Interests
Assessors and Mental Health Assessors, ensuring compliance with the DoLS framework under the Mental Capacity Act 2005
