About the Role

We are currently looking for an experienced Shuttering Carpenter to join our team on a project in Southampton.

The successful candidate will have solid experience in reinforced concrete construction and be confident carrying out shuttering, formwork and associated carpentry work to a high standard.

This is a great opportunity for a skilled and reliable tradesperson looking for regular work with a professional team.

Key Responsibilities
- Construct and dismantle timber and proprietary formwork/shuttering systems
- Read and work from drawings and specifications
- Set out and measure accurately
- Install formwork for foundations, walls, columns, beams and slabs
- Ensure shuttering is secure, level, plumb and correctly aligned
- Work closely with steel fixers, groundworkers and other site trades
- Maintain a clean and safe working area
- Follow all site health and safety requirements
- Complete work to the required quality and timescales

Requirements
- Proven experience as a Shuttering Carpenter
- Strong knowledge of formwork and reinforced concrete construction
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Good measuring and setting-out skills
- Reliable, hardworking and punctual
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- CSCS card
