Primary Teaching Assistant

Here at Axcis Education, we are recruiting for a full-time teaching assistant to work with KS1-aged pupil with autism in Leyland. The candidate applying for this position must be comfortable and confident supporting children with challenging behaviour. It is important that through calm and confident support, the candidate is able to help regulate the childs emotions.
This school is rated “Good” by Ofsted. Pay rates begin at £14.25 per hour and may increase depending on experience. Transport links are offered from Preston city centre and surrounding areas, and free parking is provided on site.
You will be required to work with the pupils in a range of lessons and support the teacher in the delivery of engaging activities. The role will start in September and candidates applying for this role must be available to work 8:45am – 3:15pm, Monday – Friday.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Brilliant communication skills, empathy and patience
• An Enhanced DBS check on the update service (if you do not have this, we can guide you through the process)
• 6 months of relevant experience OR a relevant qualification
• A genuine desire to make a difference to young people’s lives
