Job Title: 1:1 IT SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA)
Location: Plumstead, London
Contract: Full-Time, Term-Time Only

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable 1:1 IT SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our supportive college team in Plumstead this September. This is a full-time, term-time role, providing one-to-one support to a student with special educational needs and disabilities who is enrolled in an IT-focused course.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will work closely with a single learner, offering tailored academic and practical support in IT sessions and across the wider curriculum when required. You’ll help the student access the curriculum, stay engaged with tasks, and develop both digital and personal learning skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 support in IT classes, adapting content and instructions as needed.
• Assist with understanding of software, coding basics, and digital tools.
• Support the learner with organisation, focus, and task completion.
• Promote independence while addressing learning and communication needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SEND coordinators to ensure consistent, effective support.
What We’re Looking For:
• Experience supporting students with SEND, ideally in a 1:1 or FE/college setting.
• A basic understanding of IT tools/software (e.g. Microsoft Office, coding platforms, digital research).
• Patient, proactive, and student-centred approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
