Pay: £92.63–£105 per day depending on experience

Contract: Temporary with the view to go permanent after 3 months
A welcoming and supportive primary school in Bourton-on-the-Water is looking for a compassionate and experienced 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a child in Reception with complex medical and additional needs.
This is a rewarding full-time role for someone who is confident supporting young children with personal and medical care requirements, including PEG feeding. You will play a key role in helping the child access learning, build confidence and feel safe and supported throughout the school day.
The school is seeking someone calm, patient, nurturing and reliable who can build a strong relationship with both the child and the wider school team.
The Role:
You will work closely with one child in Reception on a 1:1 basis, supporting both their learning and medical needs throughout the day. Duties will include:
• Supporting the child in lessons and play-based learning activities
• Carrying out PEG feeding safely and confidently
• Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and external professionals
• Providing emotional reassurance and encouragement
• Supporting communication, engagement, and social development
• Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Essential Requirements
• Previous experience with PEG feeding
• Experience supporting children with additional needs, medical needs, or SEND
• Comfortable working within a primary school environment
• Patient, caring and attentive approach
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Axcis
Desirable Experience:
• Experience supporting children in EYFS or Reception
• Knowledge of autism, speech and language needs, or complex needs
• Relevant TA, childcare, health care, or SEND qualifications
