Vacancy: Accounts Payable
Location: Northampton
Salary: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday 20 - 25 hours (12 months fixed term contract)
Overview:
We are currently recruiting for the position of accounts payable assistant to join our client's busy accounts team in Northampton.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing supplier accounts, processing invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely payments, reconciling statements, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers while supporting the smooth operation of the finance department.
Job Type:
• 20-25 hours
• 12 months fixed term contract
• £12.71-£13.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
• Timely and accurate posting of supplier invoices into the company computer system, ensuring that the invoices match the relevant purchase orders.
• Raising any discrepancies with the buying department and take appropriate action as required.
• Communicating with suppliers via telephone and e-mail.
• Setting up new suppliers as required.
• Reconcile supplier monthly statements ensuring all invoices are received and requesting copies when required.
• Produce monthly payment spreadsheet.
• Produce 3 monthly bacs runs.
• Provide support to the Finance team.
• Ad hoc duties for the Directors as required.
Experience / Skills:
• Accounts Payable experience
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
