Teaching Assistant – Primary (Full-Time & Part-Time Options Available)
We are seeking enthusiastic and caring Teaching Assistants to join a supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Widnes, which also hosts a specialist SEND unit for children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Role Details:
Position: Teaching Assistant – Primary
Hours: Full-time and part-time positions available
Location: Widnes
Setting: Mainstream primary with dedicated SEND provision
This role involves providing 1:1 support across the curriculum, working closely with children with a range of additional needs including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs.
You will be an integral part of a caring and experienced team, helping pupils to access learning, build confidence, and develop both academically and socially in a nurturing environment.
We welcome candidates from a variety of backgrounds, including education, care, and youth work.
What we’re looking for:
An Enhanced DBS on the update service
Experience supporting children with SEND (formal or informal)
A calm, patient, and proactive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A commitment to inclusive education and pupil well being
