Kenton Black Finance have partnered with an award winning service provider in Lancaster as they look to appoint a new Assistant Accountant within the business. This brand new role has been created due to growth and is an ideal opportunity to gain more exposure to month end / management accounting activities, receiving support from an engaging Financial Controller.

Your new role as Assistant Accountant:
Reporting to the Financial Controller, as Assistant Accountant your duties will include:
• Assist in monthly management accounts preparation
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparations of VAT returns ensuring regulatory compliance
• Debtor reporting
• Support with budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assist in year end accounting requirements, liaising with external auditors
• Communicate with various internal stakeholders to answer any queries and deliver financial insight/advice
• Support continual improvement initiatives including system and process enhancements as required
Experience & Qualifications Required to Apply:
To be considered for this Assistant Accountant role, you will already have good grounding exposure to transactional accounting activities and be keen to build on these skills. Ideally you will be AAT qualified and be looking to continue onto CIMA/ACCA or already be studying. Strong IT skills are required including good working knowledge of Excel. Additionally, strong communication skills are required as the role involves plenty of stakeholder interaction.
