A well-established, independent fiduciary services provider, operating for over five decades in Guernsey and internationally, is seeking to appoint an Assistant Manager – Onboarding. The company manages assets in excess of £3 billion for HNW and UHNW clients across a broad range of structures and prides itself on its professional, collegiate environment and commitment to long-lasting client relationships.
The Role
This permanent position sits within the Onboarding team and will work closely with the Commercial Director, Fiduciary, CDD, and Compliance teams. The postholder will play a key role in onboarding new clients, whether establishing new structures or transferring existing ones, ensuring all processes comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours or term-time working, will be considered for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage all aspects of client onboarding, from structure establishment to transfers from other service providers.
• Ensure structure charts, CDD, Source of Wealth/Source of Funds documentation, and agreements are properly obtained, verified, and filed.
• Oversee statutory and client documentation, board consents, and agreements, ensuring accurate execution and record-keeping.
• Review financial, tax, and legal documentation, liaising with committees as necessary.
• Support administration teams in the transition from onboarding to active business, including banking and investment relationship arrangements.
• Monitor and reconcile records of prospective and pipeline clients, reporting quarterly to the Board.
• Identify and address deficiencies in onboarding processes, ensuring compliance with internal policies and procedures.
The Ideal Candidate
• At least 5 years’ fiduciary experience.
• Strong understanding of the GFSC Handbook and fiduciary structures (trusts, companies, foundations).
• Proven ability to process CDD, enhanced measures, and due diligence.
• Skilled in analysing and evidencing Source of Wealth and Source of Funds.
• Awareness of risk indicators and practical risk-based CDD measures.
• Excellent organisational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Experience with Acumen and/or Laserfiche (or equivalent) is advantageous but not essential.
