Description
Our client, a prestigious offshore law firm, is seeking a Litigation Associate to join their Guernsey team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of complex disputes, including Trust litigation, insolvency cases, fraud and asset recovery, regulatory enforcement, and arbitration. The successful candidate will provide high-quality legal services to financial institutions, fiduciary service providers, commercial entities, and private clients worldwide.
Key responsibilities:
• Manage and coordinate client work, including legal research, drafting, and case preparation.
• Provide timely and professional legal advice under the guidance of partners.
• Review and draft a range of legal documents.
• Work collaboratively with junior team members, supporting their development.
• Engage with colleagues across offices on multi-jurisdictional matters.
• Ensure compliance with AML and CDD procedures for all matters.
• Maintain accurate time recording, billing, and client relationship records.
• Contribute to business development by strengthening client relationships and identifying new opportunities.
• Represent the firm at industry events, seminars, and networking functions.
The successful candidate will have:
• 1 to 3 years' PQE with a UK or Commonwealth qualification.
• Strong litigation experience, ideally within a reputable firm.
• Sound drafting skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial awareness and disciplined approach to work.
• The ability to manage workloads effectively under pressure.
• A proactive, client-focused approach with a commitment to professional development.
• Experience in an offshore jurisdiction would be advantageous but is not essential.
