Business Development Manager (Grid Tech / Energy)
Based in Cambridge You will join an established team of commercial and technical experts working with clients in the energy and climate tech sector. You will own the commercial responsibility for developing relationships, both new and existing with the regulator, NESO, (DNOs), technology suppliers and disruptors to the DNOs and domestic equipment providers linked to 4th and 5th generation heating. This role has significant client contact, and you will use your knowledge and experience to drive innovation with our clients. You will define work programmes and develop the commercial approach to bids, ideally working “ahead of the RFP” to influence the innovation direction of bids. The brief is international though expected to initially focus in the UK.
The successful candidate will have an good relevant Degree along with a Technical background in Energy, additionally:
• Experience developing the commercial side of projects within this market area and you will possess detailed domain knowledge.
• Previous experience of working in a consultancy, DNO, tech disruptor to the energy sector or other ‘fee for service’ organisation would be an advantage.
• Ideally you will have a successful track record of building business to deliver technical solutions / services in this sector and will have experience developing innovative development work for specific client needs.
• Previous experience working within the Energy Sector.
