Job Title: Carpentry Instructor – SEND / Vocational Setting
Location: Sutton, South London
Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:30am – 4:00pm
Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term
Start Date: September 2025
We are recruiting a passionate and skilled Carpentry Instructor to join a specialist educational provision in Sutton. The school, part of an ‘Outstanding’ multi-academy trust, supports students with SEND, SEMH, and complex behavioural needs who thrive in vocational learning settings.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead carpentry sessions that help students develop practical skills, confidence, and pathways to employment or further training.
Requirements:
• Background in carpentry, joinery, or similar vocational trade
• Ability to adapt teaching to meet diverse learning needs
• Confidence managing behaviour and promoting safety in a workshop
• Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
