The Catering Assistant will support the Catering Team in its operation of a large and busy restaurant together with several other catering outlets across the Museum site. The catering team also service external events and functions from our conference facilities. Contributing to the organisation not only commercially but adding to an excellent all-round visitor experience.

As a Catering Assistant, you will be undertaking general kitchen and restaurant duties to support the catering team in delivering the highest standards of food service and the best possible visitor experience.
No previous experience necessary but enthusiasm with the ability to deliver excellent customer service will be required. Full training will be given.

Key Responsibilities
In this exciting and varied role, you will:

The Therapeutic and Wellbeing Services:
Our Therapeutic and Wellbeing Services consists of an experienced team of counsellors and associates providing a range of modalities to counsel all genders of domestic and sexual violence and childhood sexual abuse. Counselling is provided both face-to-face and online and up to 12 sessions is provided. The service manages a waiting list as demand can be high. Wellbeing services is a further offer that builds on a victim's confidence and assists to building a state of being healthy, happy, and comfortable, both physically and mentally. 

This service strives to instil trust and confidence recognizing that we can never change what has happened, we can help to shape a positive future.

Is this you?
We are looking for a qualified and experienced counsellor who has experience of working therapeutically with children and young people who have experienced trauma. You will carry a caseload which includes all aspects of case management including risk assessment, arranging appointments, and all aspects of case administration.
 
The Role:
The successful candidate will provide person-centred age, appropriate therapeutic interventions to children and young people (5-18) identified by defined referral routes e.g. Paediatric Sexual Assault Referral Centre (PSARC). The position is located within the Therapeutic and Wellbeing Service and will play a vital role in helping children and young people cope and recover from their experience and avoid negative impact in later life.

The counsellor will work closely with colleagues across the organisation supporting children and young people including and especially the Children &Young People Independent Sexual Violence Adviser (CHISVA) and Young Person’s Independent Domestic Abuse Advisor.

The post holder may be required at times to offer counselling to adults in line with the demands of the service. You will be part of a busy team and undertake the necessary administration that accompanies the sessions/ team and liaise with professionals as necessary. Safeguarding is at the centre of everything that we do.

The Role:
 
IRIS is a specialist domestic violence and abuse (DVA) training, support and referral programme for general practices. The IRIS Advocate Educator provides in-house domestic abuse training and ongoing consultancy for general practice teams and is an advocate to whom patients can be referred for support. As an Advocate Educator, you will provide tailored practical and emotional support to clients referred by trained GP practices.

You will be part of a national network of IRIS Advocate Educators who deliver training to local GP practices to raise awareness of domestic abuse and improve early identification.
