Role
This full-time, office-based position would suit a part-qualified accountant who is continuing towards an accounting qualification. The role involves managing the day-to-day accounting requirements of a small client portfolio and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate.
Key responsibilities
• Prepare financial statements for a small portfolio of clients.
• Produce management accounts, loan interest schedules, asset statements and other ad hoc reports.
• Assist junior team members with straightforward accounting queries.
• Liaise with clients, professional advisers and trust administration teams on accounting matters.
• Support the wider team when required.
• Take responsibility for developing your technical knowledge and skills.
Person specification
• Part-qualified ACCA.
• A minimum of three years’ experience preparing trust and company accounts.
• Experience with IFRS, FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A accounts.
• Able to prepare moderately straightforward trust and company accounts.
• Strong numeracy and spreadsheet skills.
• Organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• A positive and collaborative approach.
