Role Overview:
The Teaching Assistant supports students across a range of additional needs, including MLD, ASD, ADHD, and challenging behaviours. Responsibilities include classroom support, behaviour management, pastoral care, and implementing individualized learning strategies to enable students to access the curriculum effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Support students with learning, social, and behavioural needs in classrooms.
Implement individualized education plans and personalized learning strategies.
Assist in behaviour management and promote positive engagement.
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to monitor progress.
Facilitate inclusive learning experiences and independence skills.
Maintain records of student development and wellbeing.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Experience supporting students with MLD, ASD, ADHD, and challenging behaviours.
Knowledge of effective behaviour management strategies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Patience, resilience, and flexibility to meet diverse needs.
SEN or relevant educational qualifications preferred.
