Description

A leading financial services organisation is seeking a detail-oriented and self-driven individual to join their Guernsey-based team as a KYC Quality Assurance & Risk Evaluator on a 12-month temporary basis.

Role Overview
This position is pivotal in ensuring high standards of risk-based quality assurance and AML controls within the KYC function, covering a range of customer types including Corporates, Trustees and Individuals. Working as part of the UWUL Operations team, the successful candidate will support the ongoing review and refinement of customer due diligence (CDD) and ensure compliance with AML regulatory requirements.

You will be fully supported by an experienced team and receive comprehensive training on internal systems, but a high degree of independence, accuracy and time management will be key to your success.

Responsibilities
• Perform detailed reviews of individual and corporate customer files using available documentation, research tools and investigative techniques.
• Review and interpret complex corporate structures as part of scheduled reviews or trigger events.
• Conduct customer risk assessments, approve profiles, and escalate findings as necessary.
• Undertake AML controls and ensure enhanced due diligence requirements are fulfilled based on risk level.
• Perform periodic and trigger-event reviews, quality assurance, and support compliance testing activities.
• Maintain and improve operational reporting and contribute to the evolution of internal processes.
• Collaborate with teams across the business, including Compliance and Operational teams in Guernsey and other jurisdictions.
• Support wider projects and assist with the development and testing of systems and procedures.

What You’ll Need
• Ideally 3 years’ experience within the finance industry with in-depth knowledge of AML/CDD requirements.
• Understanding of regulatory expectations and experience in reviewing complex corporate structures.
• Excellent data accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills.
• A self-starter who can manage high workloads and deadlines independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and customer data systems.
• A strong mindset for continuous improvement and a collaborative, client-focused approach.
