Contracts Manager – Civil Engineering & Infrastructure

£90,000 per annum + package
We are working with a well-established Civil Engineering and Infrastructure contractor delivering high-quality projects across the Midlands. Due to continued growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of works primarily focused on roads, sewers, and highways infrastructure.
The Role
As Contracts Manager, you will take full responsibility for multiple projects, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Schemes will include a mix of S278, S38, and infrastructure works for both public and private sector clients.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage several concurrent civil engineering projects
Lead and support Project Managers and site teams
Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
Manage client relationships and act as the key point of contact
Monitor project performance, costs, and programme delivery
Contribute to planning, procurement, and commercial strategy
Drive efficiency and continuous improvement across contracts
Requirements
Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role (or Senior Project Manager ready to step up)
Strong engineering background with hands-on civil engineering experience
Demonstrable experience with roads, sewers, S278, and S38 works
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Commercial awareness and ability to manage budgets effectively
Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or similar discipline
