Description
As a Contracts Surveyor you will work as part of the Housing Asset Management Team. You will take a lead role in managing repairs and providing technical advice in all matters relating to the building stock.
You will be tasked with working to ensure that the services provided are carried out in a professional and efficient manner, ensuring that works are carried out within agreed constraints of time, budget, quality, value for money and customer performance criteria. Essentially you will act as Project Manager to ensure contractors are delivering to the agreed spec.
We are looking for someone who has worked in this capacity previously, either within a Local Authority setting (ideal) or within a Housing Association. It is essential that you have knowledge of producing CPR35 Reports and successfully identifying causes and remedial actions.
You will need to be familiar with SORS (Schedule of Rates) and have a good working knowledge of Awaab’s Law and relevant housing regulations. Specifically you will need experience dealing with damp and mould cases and you will need to be proficient using tools such as moisture meters, hygrometers, thermal imaging cameras, and borescopes.
This role is to deal with a spike in workload and will run for at least 6 months. The local authority we are working with is based in NW London.
The day rate is £300 (umbrella), equivalent to £41.66/hr.
