Crowe Watson Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading firm of Chartered Accountants in Edinburgh to recruit for a Corporate Tax Manager. The successful candidate will join a growing and collaborative corporate tax team, working alongside a range of professionals across various levels. The wider tax department also includes specialists in personal tax, VAT, employment tax, and R&D, creating a strong environment for shared learning and cross-discipline collaboration. Workload support is built into the team’s approach, ensuring a balance of autonomy and assistance.
The role is open to individuals currently working at Assistant Manager, Manager, or Senior Manager level. Responsibilities:
Manage a varied corporate tax portfolio of clients from SMEs to larger organisations
Deliver a mix of compliance and advisory work (approx. 70/30 split, or adjusted to suit)
Liaise with clients and internal departments across tax and audit
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members
Contribute to the positive team culture and knowledge sharing across departments
Requirements:
ACA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent experience
Proven experience managing a corporate tax portfolio
Must have previous experience working within a UK Practice environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A proactive attitude and willingness to get involved in firm-wide activities
