We are seeking an experienced Interim Director to lead Community Safety, Integrated Enforcement and Regulatory Services. In this role, you will manage and improve the effectiveness of community safety officers, working closely with the Strategic Director of Environment, Sustainability and Leisure. You will lead a full review of current operating models, with a focus on strengthening enforcement activity, ensuring officers have the appropriate powers, and embedding effective, joined-up enforcement practices across services.

We are looking for a senior leader with significant experience in building and integrating enforcement models within a local authority or similar complex organisation. You will have a strong track record of leading operational services, driving improvement, and delivering cultural and performance change. The successful candidate will bring strategic insight, practical delivery experience, and the ability to quickly assess services and implement improvements in a fast-paced environment.

This is an interim assignment for an initial 3–6 months, with the potential for extension while permanent recruitment is underway. The role is based in central London, within a vibrant and diverse organisation and community. The organisation offers flexible and hybrid working, with a minimum expectation of three days per week in the office.
