Are you an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)?
Axcis Education is working in partnership with one of the largest and most established primary schools in Bristol, located in St George, to recruit a full-time Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant for the full academic year starting in September 2026.
This rewarding role is based within the school's Early Years provision, supporting children with a range of additional needs, particularly Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and speech, language and communication needs, including pupils who are non-verbal.

About the Role
As an Early Years SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support for children within the EYFS setting
• Support pupils with Autism, speech and language delays and non-verbal communication needs
• Use visual supports, structured routines and communication strategies to help pupils access learning
• Encourage the development of communication, social interaction and independence
• Work collaboratively with class teachers, the SENCO and external professionals to deliver personalised support
• Create a nurturing, engaging and inclusive learning environment where every child can flourish

The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
• Has previous experience working within an EYFS or Early Years setting
• Has experience supporting children with Autism and non-verbal pupils
• Has a good understanding of speech, language and communication needs
• Is patient, nurturing and able to build strong relationships with young children
• Works well as part of a collaborative team and is committed to inclusive education
• Is passionate about helping every child reach their full potential
