Job Title: Early Years Teaching Assistant
EYFS Teaching Assistant, Nursery Assistant
Location: Tower Hamlets
Job Purpose:
To support the class teacher in delivering a high-quality early years education and care environment for children aged 3–6. The Early Years Teaching Assistant helps promote physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development through structured learning and play-based activities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the teacher in preparing and delivering activities based on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Support children's learning through play, interaction, and guided instruction.
• Help maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment.
• Assist in managing classroom behaviour and routines.
• Support personal care needs (e.g., toileting, dressing, feeding) where necessary.
• Encourage children to develop independence, confidence, and social skills.
• Communicate effectively with parents, carers, and colleagues.
